Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Inaugurates 64th ISAM Conference

Bengaluru: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, inaugurated the 64th Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ISAM) Conference at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bengaluru, on November 20, 2025. Themed "Innovations in Aerospace Medicine: Infinite Possibilities," the conference brought together experts from the Armed Forces, Indian Air Force, civil aviation, and scientific communities, including DRDO, HAL, and ISRO.

Distinguished orators included historian Anchit Gupta and AVM Deepak Gaur (Retd), while industry insights were provided by Pixxel CEO and Founder Awais Ahmed and Indigo Airlines’ Chief Flight Safety Officer Capt Dhruv Rebbapragada. The event showcased advances in aircrew training, operational aerospace medicine, spaceflight physiology, hypoxia research, fatigue monitoring, OBOGS evaluation, microgravity studies, and aircraft accident investigation, highlighting critical developments shaping aerospace human performance and safety.

This conference underscores ongoing innovation at the intersection of aviation, medicine, and space sciences, reflecting India's commitment to aerospace excellence. The event drew hundreds of experts from the armed forces, space agencies, and civil aviation to discuss cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of aerospace human performance.
