The event bought together leading Indian and German companies to explore opportunities for industrial collaboration and technology development. The discussions aimed to strengthen partnerships between the two countries' defence industries and create opportunities for joint manufacturing.
The engagement built on the Defence Industrial Cooperation Roadmap signed by India and Germany in April 2026. The roadmap aimed to promote long-term industry-level cooperation, including technology partnerships and the joint development and production of defence platforms and equipment.
Priority areas for collaboration included advanced radar and sensor technology, AI-enabled unmanned aerial systems, counter-drone capabilities and naval technologies. India offered manufacturing capacity and skilled personnel, while Germany bought advanced technology and investment opportunities.
The initiative supported India's push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing while giving German companies opportunities to expand industrial partnerships in India. The next step will be translating discussions into concrete projects, technology transfers and production arrangements that strengthen both countries' defence supply chains.
