According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, the two officials discussed a wide range of issues concerning bilateral military ties and strategic cooperation. They underlined the importance of regular exchanges between the defence forces of both countries, supported by technical-level interactions and a stronger focus on defence industry collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The engagement was part of Defence Secretary Singh’s official visit to Greece from October 14–15, which placed defence, security and industrial cooperation at the centre of bilateral discussions. The visit followed earlier high-level engagements between the two countries and also reflected efforts to translate their strategic partnership into practical cooperation.
India and Greece are also pursuing a broader defence-industrial agenda. At the second India–Greece Joint Working Group meeting on Defence Cooperation in Athens on October 15, both sides agreed to develop an industrial roadmap promoting joint ventures, co-production and co-development in areas of mutual interest.
The latest military-level engagement reinforced this direction, with both countries seeking more consistent interaction between their armed forces and closer links between their defence industries. However, the announcement does not disclose any new procurement contract or specific joint-production project.
India and Greece are working to convert strategic convergence into sustained military exchanges and deeper defence-industrial partnerships.
