New Delhi: The Indian Army recently held its annual firepower training exercise named TOPCHI to showcase the strength, precision and adaptability of the country’s artillery.

The Regiment of Artillery organized this exercise to underscore the Indian Army’s commitment to operational readiness and modernisation. It was held at Devlali Field Firing Ranges in Nashik.

The highlight of Exercise TOPCHI was the live demonstration of advanced artillery systems and surveillance technologies. The Indian Army showcased a formidable array of firepower, including:

K-9 Vajra: Self-propelled gun system designed for rapid, precise, and mobile artillery support.

155mm M777 Ultra-Light Howitzer: Known for its mobility and high-altitude deployment capability.

155mm Dhanush: An indigenous upgrade of the iconic Bofors gun.

155mm FH 77B02 (Bofors): A proven weapon in India’s artillery arsenal.

Exercise TOPCHI showcased the integration of indigenous defence technologies, aligning with the government’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
