According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 2, the approval followed a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) through an office memorandum dated October 28, 2026.
Kumar's repatriation brought his central deputation with the CRPF to an early end, paving the way for his return to the AGMUT cadre, which covers Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and several Union Territories, including Delhi.
The DoPT order, issued under the signature of Director Annies Kanmani Joy, has been communicated to the Ministry of Home Affairs for further necessary action.
The government order have not specified any reasons behind the premature repatriation or announced Kumar's next posting. His subsequent assignment within the AGMUT cadre is awaited.
