Indian Navy to showcase INS Surat, INS Nilgiri & submarine INS Vaghsheer at Republic Day parade

The Navy's mixed marching contingent and a band will also participate in the ceremonial parade.

New Delhi: Indian Navy will showcse its newly-commissioned frontline combatants of the Indian Navy, submarine INS Vaghsheer, destroyer INS Surat and frigate INS Nilgiri during the 76th Republic Day Parade on January 26.

The Indian Navy, on Wednesday, unveiled a model of the tableau featuring the thematic tagline, ‘Atmanirbhar Nausena se Rashtra Nirman’ (nation-building through a self-reliant navy).

The Navy's mixed marching contingent and a band will also participate in the ceremonial parade.

The tableau will depict the three platforms symbolising India’s naval prowess and the spirit of self-reliance in defence, Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, the Controller Personnel Services.
