New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake the annual performance review of 16 Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) in New Delhi on September 1, 2026, with a focus on developing indigenous technologies and boosting defence exports.

During the review, CMDs of HAL, MDL, BEL, BDL, GRSE, BEML and MIDHANI will present dividend cheques to the Defence Minister representing the government’s equity shares for FY 2025–26.

Defence Minister will also release four books covering the self-reliance journey of DPSUs, defence technology awareness for students, HAL’s modernisation roadmap and its indigenisation roadmap.

DPSUs recorded strong performance in FY 2025–26, with their combined turnover reaching ₹1.29 lakh crore, a 15.4% rise over the previous year. Their cumulative Profit After Tax stood at ₹23,136 crore, registering 15.6% growth. Notably, defence exports by DPSUs increased by 151.2% compared to the previous financial year.

The review is expected to further reinforce the government’s focus on Aatmanirbhar Bharat, indigenous defence production and expanding India’s presence in global defence markets.
