According to the order issued on April 28, Batra has been appointed to the post with effect from August 1, till the date of his superannuation i.e. October 31, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
PSU Watch has earlier reported that Batra was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of BEL by a PESB panel on January 24. He was selected from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel.
Batra is an alumnus of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, and Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
