New Delhi: Three defence PSUs, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Goa Shipyard LimiteD (GSL), and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) handed over an interim dividend of Rs 571.81 Cr to the Central Government on April 10, 2023.

Director (Finance) & CFO with an additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director, HAL CB Ananthakrishnan today presented the second interim dividend cheque of Rs 502.58 crore for Financial Year 2022-23 to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company announced last month paying an interim dividend of Rs 20 interim per equity share bearing a face value of Rs 10 each its shareholders.

"The Board of Directors of the company has, inter-alia, declared a second interim dividend of ₹20 per equity share of ₹10 each fully paid up (200%) for the financial year 2022-23," HAL said in a filing.

In the past 12 months, HAL has declared an equity dividend amounting to ₹30 per share, which results in a dividend yield of 1.05 per cent.

Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited reported a net profit of ₹1,155.2 crore, up 23.8 per cent year-on-year as against ₹933.4 crore reported in the year-ago period. Revenue from Operations fell 3.9% to ₹5,665.5 crore in the December quarter as compared to ₹5,893.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.

The Defence Minister also received an interim dividend cheque of Rs 22.30 crore for Financial Year 2022-23 from Chairman & Managing Director of Goa Shipyard Limited Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay.

In a separate event, Chairman & Managing Director of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd Cmde PR Hari (Retd) presented an interim dividend cheque of Rs 46.93 crore for Financial Year 2022-23 to Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on April 10, 2023.

GRSE's board had declared an interim dividend of Rs 5.5 per equity share in Feb 2023.
