A key development during the meeting is the formal handover of a Virtual Reality-Based Combat Medical Care Simulator (VR-CMC) donated by the Indian Army to the Philippine Army. Singh also presented Teodoro with a replica of the simulator as a symbolic gift. The equipment is designed to support combat medical training through virtual-reality-based simulation.

Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific and stressed the importance of strengthening defence ties with the Philippines. The discussions reflected the growing scope of bilateral engagement beyond conventional military exchanges, including capability development and defence-industrial cooperation.

India and the Philippines have expanded their defence partnership in recent years, including through the Philippines’ acquisition of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system. Cooperation on military training, maritime security and defence production provides further avenues for strengthening their strategic relationship.
