New Delhi: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit India from October 21–23, 2026, for talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with defence and industrial cooperation among the key priorities. The visit will provide an opportunity for both countries to translate their Strategic Partnership into concrete industrial and security outcomes.

The two leaders are expected to review bilateral relations and discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest. Tusk’s visit will also include business engagements in New Delhi and Bengaluru, bringing government and industry representatives together to explore commercial opportunities.
Defence cooperation is a key strategic opportunity. Poland has expressed interest in expanding defence-industry ties with India, including potential collaboration involving equipment upgrades, technology and industrial partnerships. For India, deeper engagement with Poland could support supplier diversification and strengthen domestic manufacturing through possible joint ventures and co-production.
The visit will follow the elevation of India–Poland relations to a Strategic Partnership during Modi’s August 2024 visit to Warsaw, alongside an Action Plan for 2024–2028. Bilateral trade reached approximately €5.68 billion in 2025, providing an economic foundation for broader engagement.
The key test will be whether the visit produces specific industrial commitments, defence agreements or implementation mechanisms. While defence cooperation is on the agenda, the announced visit itself does not confirm any new arms deal or co-production contract.
India and Poland are seeking to turn their Strategic Partnership into practical defence-industrial cooperation, with Tusk’s visit offering a potential route to joint manufacturing and technology collaboration.
