
Jammu: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi conducted an important visit to the forward locations of the Rising Star Corps in Jammu to assess its operational readiness. He urged senior military leaders to remain informed about geopolitical changes, stressing the importance of enhancing the Indian Army’s ability to tackle emerging threats.
General Dwivedi inspected forward operational areas in the Kathua-Pathankot region, receiving briefings on security and troop readiness from the General Officer Commanding of the Corps.
Indian Army in a social media post said, “#GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS visited forward units of #RisingStarCorps deployed in #Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir and was briefed on the existing security situation. #COAS also interacted with troops & commended them for their high standards of professionalism & devotion to duty.”
The Army Chief praised the Rising Star Corps personnel for their professionalism and recent successes in counter-terrorism operations. He said, “Their exemplary performance has been crucial in maintaining safety and security in the region. This recognition underscores the Indian Army's dedication to high standards of operational preparedness and effective defence strategies.”
General Dwivedi’s visit reinforced the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining top-notch operational readiness.
