Defence ministry receives final dividend of Rs 224.27 cr from BEL

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence today received a dividend cheque of Rs 224.27 crore for FY 2022-23 from defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd. The CMD of the PSU Bhanu P Srivastava handed over the final dividend cheque to the defence minister Rajnath Singh.

The defence ministry said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, “Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh today received a final dividend cheque of Rs 224.27 crore for FY 2022-23 from #CMD of Bharat Electronics Limited Shri Bhanu P Srivastava in New Delhi.”

The defence secretary Giridhar Aramane was also present on the occasion.

BEL, a Navratna Defence PSU, had declared the final dividend of 0.60/- (60%) per equity share of Re 1/- each announced at the 69th AGM of the company held on August 28, 2023. The payment date of the final dividend to eligible shareholders was September 25, 2023.
