New Delhi: A panel discussion was held on Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 by IAM Think Tank 1.0. During the brainstorming discussion, the panelists explored the details of the proposed DPDP Act 2023, comparing it with the previous IT Act of 2000.

Lee, regional director Ping Identity touched based on how to balance customer experience and security. Tushar from IBM security gave great insight on IBM identity security and concept of identity fabric.Chakit Ahuja from Sailpoint discussed about identity governance and how they can get organisation to achieve IAM maturity level quickly. Mr. Pradip Gupta, Founder of SAPI and Ex bureaucrat for Govt. of India shared his insights and valuable inputs on the issue. Mr Sunil Sao presented before the audience enriching points related to the act.
They examined the potential impact on various sectors, including finance, healthcare, IT, and retail. The panelists highlighted that the DPDP Act 2023 is still a work in progress but offers significant consumer rights, such as explicit consent, the right to forget, and the right to erase data. They also discussed critical aspects of the act, including data localization, consent management, and minimizing data footprints.
