New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) is planning air shows and grand events in various cities throughout the nation. Full dress rehearsals were conducted in Prayagraj in preparation for these festivities. This year, the Air Force Day parade and Air Display will take place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with a ceremonial parade at Air Force Station Bamrauli and an Air Display over the picturesque Sangam area.

The flypast will feature 120 aircraft, including the IAF’s newest C-295, the officials said. The other aircraft taking part include Rafales, Sukhoi-30s, Mirage-2000s, MiG-29s and Jaguars.

The IAF held its annual parade in Chandigarh last year. This is in line with the three services now organising their flagship ceremonial events outside the national capital. The parade was traditionally held in Hindan.

For the last time MiG-21 fighter jets of the Indian Air Force will fly as part of 91st anniversary parade.

Indian Air Force would be flying its aircraft in the Sugreev, Luv-Kush and Bharat formations along with others.

The Sugreev formation would include the single C-295 transport aircraft recently inducted by the Indian Air Force from Spain.

The Luv-Kush formation would include one each of the vintage aircraft Harward and Tigermoth which would take off from the runway in Prayagraj.

The Bharat formation of the Indian Air Force would include one each of the Rafale, LCA Tejas and the Su-30MKI fighter jets.
