New Delhi: The Indian Army has said that it received a patent for an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven accident prevention system.
In a tweet it said, the accident prevention system has been developed indigenously by the Army’s research and development (R&D) component.
It said, "Indian Army has received the patent for the project ‘Accident Prevention System based on Artificial Intelligence’ developed indigenously by research and development within the organisation. The Accident Prevention System would save lives by alerting drivers falling asleep while driving and reducing the vulnerability to accidents caused by drowsiness."
Sources told Defence Watch that the inventor of the AI driven system is Kuldeep Yadav, and as per the patent certificate it was filed on February 2, 2021.
Earlier in November 2022, the Army secured a patent for the new camouflage pattern uniform.
