Indian Army to induct 50 more advanced bullet-proof Armado vehicles for counter-terror operations

Jammu: The Indian Army’s capabilities to combat terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir will be significantly enhanced with the addition of around 50 advanced Armado vehicles.

Following the recent assaults on military vehicles in the Rajouri and Poonch districts along the Line of Control (LOC) in which Army troops were killed, the Indian Army has reportedly sanctioned 50 more advanced bullet-proof vehicles.

The deployment of these advanced armado vehicles would assist the Army troops in eradicating the terrorists hiding in the forest.

“With an increase in the number of advanced bullet-proof Armado vehicles in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, the Army will now become more augmented,” sources said.

In recent years, Rajouri and Poonch districts have experienced a surge in terrorist attacks.

According to the sources, this has led to a renewed focus on defence and administrative machinery in both districts.

“It is expected that soon more such vehicles will be introduced in Rajouri and Poonch districts. The soldiers are using these advanced bullet-proof armado vehicles while traveling in the forested areas of border districts, so that the damage during attacks is minimal,” the sources revealed.
