
Bali: The Indian Navy’s INS Shardul and Long Range Maritime Surveillance P-8I aircraft arrived in Bali, Indonesia, on Sunday, February 16, 2025, to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR), which is scheduled from February 16 - 22, 2025.
A fleet review is a prestigious international event in which participating navies showcase their ships in a parade, typically reviewed by an incumbent head of state or military dignitaries. This year’s event will be reviewed by the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. The IFR will feature over 30 ships from more than 15 countries.
The Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo officially opened at Benoa Port in Denpasar, Bali, on Sunday, February 16, 2025. The event began with a traditional Balinese dance, highlighting the cultural heritage of the host country.
This year’s theme is "Maritime Partnership for Peace and Stability,” focusing on natural disaster management and humanitarian aid. The exercise aims to strengthen friendships and improve coordination among the participating countries in handling disaster situations.
