Raipur: GoC in C of Central Command of Indian Army Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani recently visited Headquarters Chhattisgarh & Odisha Sub Area (COSA) and Naya Raipur Military Station.

The GOC-IN-C reviewed and appreciated operational, training and administrative initiatives & endeavours undertaken by the Indian Army in Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

During the visit the GOC-IN-C honoured Parents of Lt Rajiv Pandey, Vir Chakra (Martyred in Operation Pawan 1987, Sri Lanka) and Col Viplav Tripathi (Martyred in Manipur in 2021), expressing solidarity and gratitude of the Indian Army.

He also interacted with over 100 Veterans and commended their continued contribution to the nation building. Officials including those employed by the Army for welfare of veterans, in areas as remote as Bastar, briefed the GOC-IN-C on numerous measures taken for improvement in health care facilities and other welfare initiatives, concerning ex-servicemen from Chhattisgarh & Odisha.

Senior Military and State dignitaries including Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd) Director AIIMS Raipur, Maj Gen Paramjit Singh Dahiya, Chief of Staff MB Area, Air Commodore Felix Pinto Commander ANTF and Col Rajneesh (Retd), DIG STF also interacted with visiting dignitary on various issues.

The Army Commander specially complimented the outstanding work being done by military veterans in Chhattisgarh State.
