New Delhi: A tri-services military exercise named ‘Poorvi Prahaar’ will commence on November 8. The ten day long exercise will bring together the assets of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing a synergy among the three forces and their combat readiness.

Indian Army will deploy its units, artillery Guns, Light Combat Helicopters (LCH), and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The Air Force will deploy its fleet of Su-30 MKI and Rafale fighters, C-130J Super Hurcelus transport aircraft and different helicopters.

Air Force’s air bases in Kolkata, Hashimara, Paanagarh, and Kalaikunda will be activated during the exercise. The Indian Navy’s elite MARCOS commandos will also actively participate in the exercise.

“The exercise is aimed at testing the synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, strengthening our operational preparedness and defence posture in the eastern sector," India Today TV reported citing a senior defence official.

The tri-services exercise came days after the Indian and Chinese troops completed the disengagement at Depsang and Demchok, the two friction points in eastern Ladakh.
