New Delhi: Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a Miniratna PSU under the Defence, observed the 'Vigilance Awareness Week – 2020' from October 27 to November 2, with the theme "Vigilant India – Prosperous India" as per the instructions of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (October 31) falls.
The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the taking of the Integrity Pledge by MIDHANI's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Dr SK Jha senior officials and all employees of MIDHANI on October 27.
During the week-long celebrations, a series of events on the theme "Vigilant India – Prosperous India" were organised for the employees. In view of Covid-19, in order to ensure the social distancing various competitions like Quiz, Slogan writing, Questions on Company Conduct rules are conducted in online mode.
The celebrations of vigilance awareness week have been concluded Monday. On the occasion, the company has invited former Director (Finance) of MIDHANI BG Raj as a Chief Guest for the valedictory program. The program was attended by CMD Dr SK Jha, Director (Finance) Gowri Sankara Rao, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Dr Upender Vennam (IPoS) and other senior officials from MIDHANI. Raj shared his insightful views on the theme stressing on the importance of vigilance in professional as well as personal lives. In the event, prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions held during the week.
The session ended with a Vote of thanks to all employees of MIDHANI who were committed to contributing wholeheartedly to the success of this program.
