President Droupadi Murmu presents Gallantry Awards in Delhi

New Delhi: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, presented Gallantry Awards at the Defence Investiture Ceremony, 2023 (Phase I) held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on May 9, 2023. The event was attended by several dignitaries including PM Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh among others.

Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) to Gunner Jasbir Singh. The award was received by his mother Smt Sukhwinder Kaur and father Shri Gurbhej Singh.

Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) to Constable Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, Jammu & Kashmir Police. The award was received by his mother Smt Shameema Begum and father Shri Md Maqsood Sheikh.

Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) to Naik Jasbir Singh. The award was received by his wife Smt Jatinder Kour, mother Smt Mahindro Devi and brother Shri Surjit Singh.

Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) to Shri Sudip Sarkar, Constable/GD, Bsf. The award was received by his wife Smt Rumpa Sarkar, daughters Ms Subhra Sarkar & Ms Atithi Sarkar and brother Shri Abhijit Paul.

Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) to Shri Paotinsat Guite, Sub-Inspector/Gd, BSF. The award was received by his wife Smt Hoineilhing Baite and daughters Ms Jaslyn Nemnunthem Guite and Ms Florence Nengparmoi Guite.

Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) to Shri Deepak Bhardwaj, Sub Inspector, Government of Chhattisgarh. The award was received by his wife Smt Prantika Bhardwaj.
