The formation sign of the Corps then had a "Four-Leaved Shamrock" symbolizing luck, with the Roman Figure VII repeated thrice for 21.

The Corps was raised once again in Feb 1942 for operations in the Middle East. Corps was again de-mobilized at the end of the Second World War. For the duration of the second phase, the Corps bore as its badge the truncated Heraldic of a Horse, symbolizing swiftness.

The Corps formation sign "Sudarshan Chakra" is a divine weapon and personal associate of Lord Vishnu. Designed from the fiery energy of Sun and held in Vishnu's right hand, it is a symbol of mind as the power of mind destroys all form of ignorance, so the Chakra destroys all demons.
