Airfloa Rail Technology has entered into a strategic joint venture with Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS), a defence technology company specialising in electronic warfare, AI-based autonomous systems and advanced materials. Under the agreement, Airfloa will hold a 51% stake, while BBBS will retain 49%, creating a dedicated manufacturing platform for BBBS’s existing and upcoming defence programmes in India. The collaboration spans electronic warfare equipment, AI-driven autonomous defence systems, precision-engineered components, advanced materials and defence-grade integration and testing.
According to the company, the joint venture is designed to fast-track the industrialisation of defence technologies, boost export capabilities and tap high-growth segments such as UAVs and advanced material systems. Separately, Airfloa Rail Technology has received a domestic contract from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, for supplying and installing wider LHB coach windows (1460 × 700 mm) with sliding shutters for non-AC coaches.
The ICF order is valued at approximately ₹2.87 crore, with completion targeted by 31 October 2026. Airfloa confirmed that the order does not involve related-party transactions and that no promoter or group entity has any interest in the awarding authority. The joint venture strengthens Airfloa’s entry into high-growth defence segments, while the new ICF order reinforces its core railway business, with the company stating that together these developments enhance its manufacturing capabilities, expand market reach and support long-term growth across both domestic and export-oriented opportunities.
