Hyderabad: Telangana will host a dedicated Raksha Expo as part of the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 from December 7 to 9 at Bharat Future City, Hyderabad, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju announced on Thursday at News18 DEFCON 2026. The state plans to use the event to showcase its aerospace and defence ecosystem and attract investment, technology partnerships and manufacturing opportunities.

The expo is planned to include an aerospace, defence and space conclave, an advanced technology exhibition, an air show and live demonstrations of drones, counter-drone systems, autonomous platforms and land-based defence equipment. Dedicated zones for Indian MSMEs and start-ups, along with country-specific pavilions, are also being planned
Beyond displays, the event will focus on business-to-business meetings and direct engagement between global original equipment manufacturers, Indian companies, MSMEs, start-ups and sourcing teams. The state aims to use these interactions to encourage vendor development, technology collaboration, investment proposals and integration of Indian suppliers into domestic and international supply chains.
Sanjay Jaju said Telangana’s aerospace and defence exports grew by 103 per cent in 2025–26. He also cited the state’s network of strategic research institutions, defence public sector undertakings and an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 precision-engineering MSMEs. The state is expanding capabilities in areas including drones, avionics, advanced materials, propulsion, space technologies and aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul.
The state government has also invited Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend the summit and inaugurate the expo. The event is being organised by Telangana and is separate from the central government’s annual Defence Expo.
The expo adds an industry-facing component to Telangana’s wider investment summit, with a focus on converting the state’s aerospace and defence base into new supplier relationships, technology partnerships and manufacturing activity.
