New Delhi: India’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, Aero India, will return to Bengaluru from February 8–12, 2027, with the 16th edition set to bring global defence companies, policymakers, armed forces and technology innovators together at Air Force Station Yelahanka.

Organised by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, the five-day event will feature aerospace and defence exhibitions, strategic and business engagements, technology demonstrations and aerial displays by the Indian Air Force and international flying teams. Exhibitor registration and exhibition-space booking will open from September 3, 2026 through the official Aero India portal.
Aero India has increasingly evolved beyond an aircraft exhibition into a major platform for defence deals, technology partnerships, investments and international cooperation.
The 2027 edition will be particularly significant as it will be the first Aero India since Operation Sindoor, during which several Indian-origin defence systems gained operational exposure. The experience has added momentum to India's efforts to position indigenous defence products for international markets.
India's growing defence-export ambitions are likely to give the upcoming edition an additional strategic dimension. Indigenous systems such as BrahMos and Akash have already strengthened India's presence in the global defence market, while the government is simultaneously seeking greater participation from Indian manufacturers in international supply chains.
The event is expected to bring together Indian defence companies, MSMEs, start-ups and global aerospace majors, creating opportunities for partnerships, technology collaboration and investment.
For Indian manufacturers, Aero India provides a direct platform to showcase indigenous technologies to foreign governments and defence companies — making the exhibition increasingly relevant to India's “Make in India, Make for the World” ambitions.
The 2025 edition attracted more than 900 exhibitors, including around 150 foreign companies, while defence ministers or representatives from about 30 countries and senior military officials from 43 countries participated.
With Aero India 2027, Bengaluru will once again become a meeting point for military capability, defence technology, global investment and strategic diplomacy.
The bigger story is no longer just what India displays at Aero India — it is what India can sell, manufacture and develop with the world.
